A talented 14 year-old artist Preston Mutanga; who goes by the online name LegoMe_TheOG, has recreated a recent Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer, as well as posters in Lego form.
The fan-made trailer was created in Blender 3D, and it took the artist over 1 month to complete, with various artists contributing to sets, compositing and prints.
It has since gone viral, with the trailer also being brought to the attention of Phil Lord; who is one of the writers and producers for the Spider-Verse films.
Phil Lord reacts to the trailer, writing in his quote tweet, that he is “Regretting not making the whole movie this way“. In addition to this, Lord tweeted “My man you have outdone yourself”.
In an interview by Fandango, the voice actor for Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) also mentioned there actually will be a Lego universe, in this upcoming animated film Across the Spider-Verse.
“I’m just kind of like, what are they doing now? Like… the Lego world is really neat! Do you remember when he jumps into the Lego Universe for a little bit and I’m like, what is happening?!”
