Andrew Garfield had a very successful 2021 as Spider-Man: No Way Home was the biggest movie of 2021; after surpassing 1 Billion at the box office. Tick, tick… Boom! and The Eyes of Tammy Faye both had a great audience reception.
After seeing Spider-Man: No Way Home, long-time fans of TASM and even fans that once didn’t appreciate The Amazing Spider-Man movies, finally saw how great Andrew was in the role, and fans took to Twitter to get #MakeTASM3 trending.
In a new interview with Variety, Andrew Garfield was asked if he would be open to returning as Spider-Man once again.
“I mean, yes, definitely open to something if it felt right. Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are all about service, to the greater good and the many. He’s a working-class boy from Queens that knows struggle and loss and is deeply empathetic. I would try to borrow Peter Parker’s ethical framework in that, if there was an opportunity to step back in and tell more of that story, I would have to feel very sure and certain in myself.”

Did Sony already plan to bring back Andrew after Spider-Man No Way Home?
There is already some speculation about which universe Morbius and Venom are in.
It’s assumed that, this is taking place in the Webb-verse where Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man belongs to. Tobey Maguire already had a Venom symbiote, as seen in Spider-Man 3 (2007).
The recent post-credit scene revealed that Tom Hardy left behind a piece of the symbiote in the MCU, where Tom Holland is… for a future storyline.
Where did Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock/Venom go back to? Maybe Sony are purposely leaving this open for Andrew Garfield to potentially come back.
In the Morbius trailer, near to the end; Dr. Michael Morbius made a joke saying “I am Venom”, this could be Sony’s way of messing with us just for a trailer edit or a real connection to Venom and Morbius sharing the same universe.
Also, in these trailers, Sony placed a PS4 Tobey Maguire suited figure on a wall, which also added to the confusion of it all.
