A director has been chosen for the live-action Batman film Brave and the Bold. This is part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe Chapter One: Gods & Monsters, that will also introduce a brand new Superman film.
The Batman film will see Bruce Wayne/Batman and Damian Wayne/Robin, fight crime while likely introducing some more of the Bat family in the process.
In an inital report from One Take News and now confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter in a new article, The Flash and IT director; Andy Muschietti has been picked to direct Brave and the Bold.
Andy Muschietti and Babara Muschietti have also signed first-look deals with Warner Bros. Television, to also deliver content for MAX streaming service, in addition to theatrical releases.
There will also be an IT horror spin-off series called Welcome to Derry, set to release sometime in 2024; executively produced by the Muschiettis.
Currently, there are no writers or actors that have been announced for the Batman film yet. One of the top fan picks online, to play the role appears to be Jensen Ackles (Supernatural, The Boys).
