In trailers & TV spots for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) can be seen walking down the aisle on her wedding day, who is Christine getting married to?
Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) does attend Palmer’s wedding, unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to be marrying Christine, as he is holding a wedding flyer that states on it: ‘Christine & Charles’.

We can briefly see in the trailer; a man that is the groom, rushing out of the door with Christine. The groom doesn’t seem to be impressed.
Actor playing Charles
While looking into this person, we have been able to find the actor’s profile on Bloomfields Welch Management; Ako Mitchell is playing Charles/Charlie, the soon to be husband for Christine Palmer. There’s currently no information for Charles’ last name and no further details about his character.
Theory
In the scene where they are rushing out of the church: Christine could be reacting to Gargantos being in the street. This could also be the arrival of America Chavez, coming through one of her Star-shaped portals, with a dead Defender Strange.
