An official trailer has been released for the upcoming 60th anniversary special of the BBC’s science-fiction series Doctor Who – set to star David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Yasmin Finney and Neil Patrick Harris.
With almost 6 months left until the release of the anniversary, the BBC is ramping up marketing that now reveals more about what will happen.
Although, there’s still a mystery about how David Tennant’s Doctor returned and who Neil Patrick Harris is playing, as well as the plot of the second episode that’s still being kept under wraps.
How many specials are there for Doctor Who 60th anniversary?
The titles have also been revealed in the trailer, for all three episodes:
- Special One: The Star Beast.
- Special Two: Wild Blue Yonder.
- Special Three: The Giggle.
Here’s our report from June, 2022 about Beep the Meep and The Wrarth Warriors in the The Star Beasts episode.
It’s not clear as to what the Wild Blue Yonder special is about, however The Giggle is seemingly involving Neil Patrick Harris’ rumoured character; who may be playing The Celestial Toymaker, there is also a toy puppet on the screen.
In a new trailer scene, where the Doctor mentions about that creepy laugh, could that setting be for the new UNIT HQ?
