Ewan McGregor reacts to seeing Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader; on the set of Disney+ Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi – premiering with two episodes, on May 27.
This series will see Obi-Wan Kenobi having lost nearly all hope, as he is still struggling after 10 years of losing against Darth Vader, as well as the Dark Side of the Force in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Kenobi and Vader are likely to have another Lighstaber duel, once again!

On BBC’s The One Show on May 12, 2022; Ewan was asked whether he had found Hayden Christensen terrifying as Darth Vader:
“[Darth Vader] is yeah!.. In the three films that we made, I didn’t work with Darth Vader. So, in this; the first scene that we did, we rehearsed it, with him.. with the helmet on, and in this scene he comes up from behind me, on the set and we’re getting ready and I’m getting my makeup done and we start the show “ACTION!”… and turn I round and there’s Vader coming at me and I swear like I had this jolt of absolute fear.”
