Blade is an upcoming Marvel film about a vampire hunter, this is also a reboot now set in the MCU, directed by Bassam Tariq — starring Mahershala Ali (Alita: Battle Angel, Luke Cage), Aaron Pierre (Old) and Delroy Lindo (Get Shorty 1995).
The release date for Blade and many other Marvel projects were revealed at San Diego Comic Con; this horror movie is set to be released in cinemas, on November 3, 2023.
Production on Blade
In April, 2022, a production company and working title was revealed exclusively by news site The Cosmic Circus; there is a company called Standoffish Productions LLC and the working title is ‘Perfect Imprints’.
Special character Make-up
By searching for who is working on ‘Perfect Imprints’, We have found a resume for Joel Harlow on The Milton Agency website; revealing that Harlow has been hired for the special character make-up work, on Marvel Studios’ horror film Blade. This is likely for the appearances of Vampires and various other characters.

There’s a slight spelling error for the listing on their resume as ‘Perfcent Imprints’, however this is still for Blade. Bassam Tariq’s name can also been as the director on there for this Marvel Studios project.
What is Morphology FX?
Joel Harlow is the head of Morphology FX inc; an award-winning company that creates a full range of state-of-the-art make-up, special make-up and prosthetics work for American motion pictures, since the 1980’s.
Horror projects
Harlow has plenty of experience working on Horror projects such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Stand, The Shining, Constantine, Hellboy starring David Harbour, and upcoming movie The Haunted Mansion for Disney.
There are also credits for more Marvel films such as Logan and Black Panther, as well as for the next upcoming movie of Marvel by director Ryan Coogler.
When is the new Blade movie filming?
According to Collider, filming for Blade will begin in Atlanta, from October 2022. There’s no currently no plots details or character details revealed about the movie.
Mahershala Ali’s Blade debut in Eternals
Mahershala’s Blade has already been subtly introduced into the MCU, through one of the credit scenes in Eternals. Dane Whitman (Kit Harington) is reaching for the Ebony Blade, in order to become Black Knight, when a voice off-screen confirmed by Eternals director Chloe Zhao to be Blade, says to him “Sure you’re ready for that Mr. Whitman?”. Kit Harington is likely to be reprising his role in Blade, as his character continues to develop. The mentioned of vampires were also mentioned by Mobius (Owen Wilson) in Disney Plus series Loki. as well as a version of a Living Vampire (Jared Leto) in Sony Pictures’ Morbius movie.
