Planning to watch a movie next month? The perfect time would be on National Cinema Day, when tickets are at a very low price!
In US, UK and Ireland, there will be a National Cinema Day next month to boost and celebrate bringing people back to watch movies again in the cinema. Check out the details below!
This will take place on Saturday September 3, 2022, US and UK; the price of movie tickets will cost £3/$3 and Ireland will be €4.
In the UK, it is being organized by Cinema First, who have included major participating UK cinema operators in this such as Cineworld (the £3 price is for IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX and Superscreen), Vue (Standard screenings and Accessibility screenings), Odeon (all cinemas & all screens), Showcase, Empire, Picturehouse and various other venues. Advanced tickets can be pre-booked as early as August 28.
In the US, 30,000 cinema locations will be taking part in this event created by US National Association of Theatre Owners. This will be the first event for the US celebrating National Cinema Day. The price will be same for all tickets, formats, showtimes covering movies in from cinemas such as Regal, AMC and Cinemark. A sizzle reel last 4 1/2 minutes long will also be played to movie-goers; the reel includes footage from movies such Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Harry Styles’ My Policeman.
For Ireland, the tickets will cost €4, and that price will cover any premium seating, premium screens, 3D and standard screenings for all movies. Tickets can be pre-booked as early as August 29. Over 14 cinemas will be participating such as Arc Cinemas, Cineworld, Vue, Gate Cinemas… etc.
If you’re already planning on visiting during this day, it’s the perfect time to watch the re-issue of Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as the 40th anniversary of E.T and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, being back in cinemas.
