Sony Pictures has released the official trailer for Ridley Scott’s action Napoleon film.
The Napoleon movie is set during the 18th Century and stars Joaquin Pheonix (Joker, Her) as French military commander, Napoleon Bonaparte.
Napoleon conquered parts of the world (France, Belgium, Germany, Holland and Italy). Although was ultimately defeated by Britain, Russia, Austria and Prussia when he tried to invade.
From the synopsis ‘the film captures Bonaparte’s relentless journey to power through the prism of his addictive, volatile relationship with his one true love, Josephine, showcasing his visionary military and political tactics against some of the most dynamic practical battle sequences ever filmed.’
Love interest; Josephine is being played by Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1), and the film also stars Paul Rhys, Ben Miles, and Tahar Rahim.
Napoleon releases on November 22, 2023.
