The sequel for the long-awaited animated movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse releases on June 2, 2023.
However, when could the new trailer release? Let’s take a look at that rumour and the three new images that also came out.
According to writer Big Screen Leaks, ‘a new #AcrossTheSpiderVerse trailer is done and ready to go’.
Further down in the tweets, a Twitter user asks if they think the trailer will drop in time for Avatar: The Way of Water to come out. BSL replied ‘I think that’s the idea‘.
James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water is releasing on December 16, 2022. So, the trailer could be arriving in just two weeks time. It’s possible that the trailer exclusively shows at the beginning of Avatar screenings for now, hopefully it also releases online this month.
Update
The trailer officially arrives on December 13.
Sony Pictures with Empire Magazine also also posted two new images for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

This multiverse movie will feature six different animated styles. There has already been two new styles shown in the first look, that was released back in December 2022 for two universes: Earth-50101 (Mumbatten); inpired by Indian comic books and Spider-Man 2099’s futuristic world inspired by Syd Mead-style illustrations.
Christopher Miller also mentions that Gwen’s world (Earth-65) is a “watercolour-wash style that’s reminiscent of the covers of her comic books”

It’s shaping up to be a huge Marvel event, and quite an expansive undertaking; as there are also 240 characters being included. Some of the rumoured characters to be PS4 Spider-Man, Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s iterations in animated form.
The cast includes voices from; Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Oscar Isaac and Issa Rae.
