The final two episodes for the finale of Stranger Things season 4 is nearly upon us! The Duffer Brothers have also teased that there are multiple deaths in Volume 2.
Firstly, to recap what has happened during the end of Volume 1:
With the revelation that Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) is the first subject known as 001, at Hawkins Laboraties. Henry Creel arrived there when he was just a kid; after causing death and trauma towards his family. He then grew up to be more of an inhibited assistant to Dr. Brenner. Until El (Millie Bobby Brown) took the chip out of his neck and destruction soon followed; El created her first known portal to the Upside Down and banished Henry to there, transforming him into the monster called Vecna.
The only way known way to break free from Vecna’s curse, is to play your most favourite song. Sadie Sink’s character Max listened to Kate Bush’s song Running Up That Hill, that went completely viral bringing the track to number 1 in the UK singles charts after 37 years!
Volume 2
Nancy is trapped by Vecna at the end of Volume 1, likely causing the Hellfire Club to go back to rescue her?
Hellfire Club and the rest of the people of Hawkins are all facing increased danger in Volume 2; as Vecna becomes more powerful, potentially leaking the Upside down world into the real world.
In a recent interview with Variety, The Duffer Brothers have also confirmed there will be a body count, when asked, they replied “For sure!”. Ross Duffer also mentioned that fans should be “concerned” for characters in Volume 2.
Who will succumb to Vecna’s curse?
Netflix has been taunting fans with the idea that it could be Steve to die, as they created a billboard reading the words ‘Protect Steve‘.
With such a large cast, the deaths could be for anyone of them. Eddie? Steve? Nancy? Hopper? Maybe Murray or one of the others? Although, fans are mostly hoping that it’s not Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) or Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).
Stranger Things star, Noah Schnapp who plays Will on the show, was able to watch Volume 2 early. Noah posted a photo showing his reaction.
Volume 2 has the last two episodes; totalling to nearly 4 hours of horror.
This trailer also reveals Eddie risking his life while playing guitar on the top of a roof to lure all of the creatures to him, while Dustin is hiding nearby.
Joseph Quinn quickly became a fan favourite for his outstanding performance as Eddie, this could the death that affects viewers the most!
