Synchronic is a 2019 science-fiction movie; starring Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Civil War) and Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey).
The film is directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
Steve (Anthony Mackie) and Dennis (Jamie Dornan) are both portraying Paramedics in New Orleans.
Both characters are dispatched to multiple scenes, where people have overdosed, as well as suffering from injuries. Dennis’ daughter has also vanished during this situation.
This is no ordinary incident; as these victims appear to have sustained mysterious wounds by objects, not from this time.
Mackie’s character suspects that a designer drug called ‘Synchronic’; is at least to blame for the overdose, although he’s not prepared for what’s to come next.

As Steve begins to take Synchronic, he finds himself time-slipping and after a series of attempts, he soon realizes that, depending on where he is standing, this leads to a different point in time, like gateways.
The side-effects of this designer drug affects the pineal gland, that gives Steve an opportunity to look for Dennis’ missing daughter throughout time, while also trying to escape threats from the past.
