Director and co-writer; Gareth Edwards (Star Wars: Rogue One, Godzilla), has been working on a new movie about A.I, for 20th Century Studios, called The Creator.
An official synopsis and trailer has recently been released for The Creator. This film involves hunting down who created advanced AI weapons; that could cause Humanities’ destruction.
The film’s screenplay has also been written by Gareth Edwards, as well as Chris Weitz; who worked on Disney’s Pinocchio (2022).

The Creator is a science-fiction action thriller, set amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence.
Joshua (John David Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Gemma Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war…and mankind itself.
Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (Madeleine Yuma Voyles).
John David Washington’s most notable role has so far been in Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi movie Tenet. Gemma Chan was recently in Chloe Zhaos’ Marvel Studios Eternals.

When is The Creator releasing in cinemas?
In the UK, the movie releases in cinemas on September 28, and in the US, The Creator opens in cinemas a day later; on September 29.
