Sony Pictures has just released the second official trailer for the animated movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and I discuss all about it in this trailer breakdown.
Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) has to go up against The Spot (Jason Schwartzman), Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaacs) and the rest of the Spider-Verse; as he forced to choose between either saving the ones he loves or everyone else.
An intro opens up to a shot of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man suit and his narration “Sometimes to do what’s right, we have to give up the thing we want the most”.
Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man suit appears next, with him saying “Everyday I wake up kwowing, that the more people I try to save, the more enemies I will make. Lastly, Tom Holland’s suit is shown with him narrating “this is my chance to prove myself”. These live-action Spider-Man intros and narrations are in the international version of the trailer.
Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) mentions that it was Miguel O’Hara’s idea to bring all of the Spider-Verse characters together and Miles wants to be a part of that too. At the end of the first movie, Miguel made the time portal bracelets that can prevent people from glitching outside of their own universe, he has now made them for the rest of the Spider-Verse characters.
The Spider-Verse characters want to decide Mile’s destiny for him, according to the struggles they had to face. It appears that everyone is going after Miles Morales, in order to keep the multiverse intact, because he has to either lose one more person in his life or save everyone else. “Miles, being Spider-Man is a sacrifice… you have a choice between saving one person and saving every world”.
Miguel also referenced Spider-Man: No Way Home, when he name drops Doctor Strange and Tom Holland’s Peter Parker “Don’t even get me started on Doctor Strange and the little nerd back on Earth- 199999!”. The MCU is either being called this or 616, depending on which universe has it designated to that number.
Theory: Miguel has captured The Master Weaver to manipulate the multiverse

The Master Weaver may have been spotted in the background; in a scene between Miles and Gwen @1:09 in the official UK trailer. The Master Weaver is a character also known as Spider-Zero/Karn; who is in charge of maintaining the Web of life and Destiny.
This second film is focused on Miles’ destiny, and Miguel is likely tapping into this character to see the multiverse and past, present and future timelines, as well as being able to manipulate the destiny of all other characters. That may also be why he is able to show Miles what happens in his future. Thank you to the Twitter user @EvokerGuy, who suggested comic image may be the same character in the trailer.
The pointing meme also gets another homage, when Miguel sends out an APB style manhunt, for seems to be Miles Morales’ Spider-Man. However, Miguel just says “Spider-Man” and it confuses them all, causing them to point and likely hunt eachother.

Miguel looks terrifying as he starts to chase down Miles; with a bloodshot look in his eyes.
We also get a brief new look at Spider-Punk voiced by Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther, Get Out) and hearing the characters voice for Spider-Man from India, voiced by Karan Soni (Deadpool) and Ben Reilly, the Scarlet Spider appears.

A character called Spider-Byte also makes a brief appearance in the trailer; Margo works to fight cybercrime in Earth-22191.

In the UK trailer version, Miles Morales’ family is concerned with his school life and unusual behaviour, as he becomes more wrapped up in being a superhero.
