It was announced in 2020, that Michael Keaton would be returning as Batman, alongside Ben Affleck and Ezra Miller in The Flash (2022) movie.

New casting information has now been released today that Michael Keaton will also be reprising as Batman in HBO Max Batgirl movie, alongside Leslie Grace, J.K. Simmons, Brendan Fraser and Jacob Scipio.

There is a rumour for The Flash movie that Ezra’s Flash will alter the multiverse; erasing Ben Affleck’s Batman, and this causes Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne to be the main Batman. The fact that Keaton will now be in Batgirl, could mean this may be a last goodbye to Ben Affleck in the DCEU.

There is currently no set date for Batgirl.

Update: the Batgirl movie was scrapped as part of a Tax-write off by Warner Bros. Discovery and therefore will no longer be releasing.
