It’s that time of the year again to binge watch plenty of Christmas movies. At Chatter Box Film, we pick our selection box of 40 of the best festive movies to watch. Here is the countdown from 29 – 20.
29. Get Santa

After crashing his sleigh and coming to the attention of the local police, Santa Claus asks a father and son for help to round up his reindeer, so that he can return home and ensure that Christmas is not ruined for all.
28. Batman Returns (1992)

Michael Keaton’s Batman has an intense Christmas in Gotham; as he deals with Catwoman, the Penguin and an insufferable business man called Max Shreck.
27. The Snowman (1982)
In this beautifully artistic drawn 25 minute and 39 second movie; a young boy brings a snowman to life and they go on an adventure to meet Santa. This is where the famous song “We’re Walking In The Air” came from. Narrated by David Bowie. This YouTube video is the full movie.
26. The Claus Family (2020)

Jules is a kid who has a hatred for Christmas; due to a tragic family loss. Although, everything changes when he makes a discovery that his grandfather is actually Santa Claus. There’s also two more movies in this franchise. The Claus Family is a Dutch language speaking film.
25. Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone

Follow Harry Potter’s journey as he enters the wizarding world of Hogwarts during Christmas time.
24. I’ll Be Home For Christmas (1998)

College is ending for the holidays and Jake (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) is stuck between trying to please his family and save a relationship with the woman (Jessica Biel) that he likes. There’s just one problem, he is left stranded in the desert dressed as Santa. Will he make it home in time?
23. Christmas With The Kranks

In this light-hearted comedy, Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis’ characters to decide to skip Christmas. This results in the town being upset with them. Things change when their daughter makes a sudden return home.
22. Fred Claus

Fred Claus (Vince Vaughn) is struggling with turning his life around and managing his relationships. This results in needing the help from his brother: Santa (Paul Giamatti).
21. Deck The Halls (2006)

Steve Finch (Matthew Broderick) is the towns favourite festive guy, until he gets a new neighbour – Buddy Hall (Danny DeVito) whom seeks to impress literally everyone! A funny rival family comedy movie.
20. A Christmas Carol (2009)

Jim Carrey voices Ebenezer Scrooge in this incredibly well-made animated movie, for Disney’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
