Lightyear is an upcoming animated movie by Disney and Pixar. This is a theory about who is cast as the character: Hawthorne.

At the end of October, 2020; a teaser trailer was released for Disney Pixar’s Lightyear. This is based on the life of a fictional in-universe Space Ranger, that inspired toy manufacturers to make the Buzz Lightyear toys in Toy Story.

Currently, all that is known to be cast in Lightyear; is Chris Evans as the voice of Buzz Lightyear.

However, there is a character that we were able to see and hear the voice of called Hawthorne; whom works at Star Command with Buzz.

While listening to previous work from Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba. The voice sounds very similar to Uzo’s, as Hawthorne says the line “To infinity”.

Then watch near to the end of the trailer when Hawthorne speaks at @0:06 into this teaser trailer, when the character says “Cabin pressurization is underway”:
