Clip: First 8 minutes of Stranger Things 4 + Runtimes revealed

Netflix has released a horrifying clip for the first 8 minutes of Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1. As well as episode runtimes being revealed

The 8-minute clip reveals more backstory about; what happened with Eleven at Hawkins National Laboratories. There are also more characters with abilities.

Synopsis

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier.

The group will also be going up against a more sinister threat than they have faced before; from the Upside-Down World. The villain known as Vecna escapes from the Upside Down and unleashes havoc on Hawkins.

Stranger Things 4 will star; Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Max (Sadie Sink), Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Robin (Maya Hawke), Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour).

Episode Runtimes

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 premieres with the first 7 episodes on May 27. These episodes are around 1 hour and 15 minutes each.

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 will be releasing on July 1; Netflix explains that these episodes total to roughly 13 hours. The final two episodes of Volume 2 total to nearly 4 hours.

Netflix has specifically provided runtimes for:

  • Episode 7: 1 hour 38 minutes
  • Episode 8: 1 hour 25 minutes
  • Episode 9: 2 hours 30 minutes approximately.

May 27 also sees the release of the new Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi; premiering on Disney+.
