It’s now been over 45 days since the release of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic movie on June 24. The movie has currently reached $251.35 million at the worldwide box office.
Warner Bros. UK has kindly invited our site to watch a digital screening at home. This is the second time watching this movie since attending an IMAX screening in London.
This movie still has such a strong rewatch ability to it and easily one of the best Elvis biopics; a powerful performance by Austin Butler and I appreciated Tom Hank’s acting and narration much more this time as Colonel Tom Parker. There’s a great supporting cast; Olivia DeJonge, Richard Roxburgh, Helen Thompson, Dacre Montgomery and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
It was also brilliant to hear many of the musical segments once again, as well as seeing Baz Luhrmann’s extravagant cinematography! This is an enjoyable movie that I will rewatch more.
