Avengers: Secret Wars is a Marvel film releasing in 2025. Update: the release date has changed to May 7, 2027.

In a new article from Deadline, Michael Waldron is now set to write a script for Secret Wars.

This isn’t the first time that Waldron has covered multiverse related Marvel projects, for Disney Plus series Loki, Michael was there as executive producer and showrunner.

Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, was also written by Waldron and directed by Sam Raimi.

Avengers: Kang Dynasty releases in 2026 and is currently being written by Jeff Loveness and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings), and then Avengers: Secret Wars will continue on from this big event.
