There has been new announcements coming out of New York Comic Con for The Winchesters, about casting and who is directing an episode.
Smallville star; Tom Welling has been cast in the upcoming Supernatural TV prequel series.
Who will Tom Welling be playing?
Welling will be portraying Samuel Campbell, the father of Mary Campbell. Originally, in the main series this character was played by actor Mitch Pileggi.
Former Supernatural actor; Richard Speight is also directing an episode for this series.
The Winchesters focuses on life before Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), their parents misadventures through the supernatural world..
