Disney has just announced who is joining the cast of Star Wars: The Acolyte, as well as an official synopsis for the upcoming series.

Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Jessica Jones) is starring alongside the previously announced cast: Amandla Stenberg are Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett and Dean-Charles Chapman.

The official synopsis has also been released:

‘The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.’

There’s currently no release date yet, however this Star Wars series is speculated to be releasing in Summer 2023, on Disney Plus.
