In September of this year, Bassim Tariq was no longer the director for the Marvel film ‘Blade’. This caused production to be pushed back.

According to Deadline, Yann Demange has now been hired as the new director for Blade. Demange was recently a director for an episode of Lovecraft Country – starring Jonathan Majors.

Michael Starrbury will write the script, this writer doesn’t currently have many works released, however their recent project was for a 2021 TV mini series called Colin in Black & White – starring Colin Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay.

Mahershala Ali is still currently set to star in the titular role.
