Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man: Cast, Synopsis & Date

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man (previously titled “Spider-Man: Freshman Year”) is an animated series, that will be releasing on Disney Plus. There’s recently been a cast list and synopsis revealed, as well as a release date for the Marvel series.

In addition to this new information surfacing, there were images revealed at San Diego Comic Con, in July 2022; showing art from the series for: Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Spider-Man, Peter Parker, Norman Osborn and more.

Main voice cast for Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man

Peter Parker/Spider-Man

Tom Holland will not be voicing Peter Parker, the web-crawler will instead be voiced by Hudson Thames.

In the 2021 Disney+ series What If…? Hudson Thames also voiced Peter Parker/Spider-Man, during the fifth episode about zombies.

Lonnie Lincoln

Eugene Byrd is voicing Lonnie Lincoln; in the comics, this character is Tombstone, although may be changed for this series. Eugene has recently done voice acting on a separate Marvel project; as Jefferson David, called Spidey and His Amazing Friends (2021)

Nico Minoru

Grace Song is voicing Nico Minoru; a magical character, known from Marvel’s The Runaways.

Otto Octavius

Hannibal star; Hugh Dancy, is currently revealed to be voicing Otto Octavius.

Aunt May

With extensive credits of voice work on content such as Mortal Kombat, Injustice 2, Spidey and His Amazing Friends and My Adventures with Superman. Kari Walgren is on the list as the voice of Aunt May.

Harry Osborn

Zeno Robinson (Harley Quinn, Starfield, Spider-Man: Miles Morales), is set to voice Harry Osborn.

Daredevil

Charlie Cox is back once again as Daredevil, and this time he is in animated form. Daredevil will be wearing a black and red suit in the show. See all known appearances for the Charlie Cox as Daredevil here.

It’s not yet been revealed who will be voicing Doctor Strange or Norman Osborn, as well the rest of the characters such as Scorpion and Chameleon. However, it is rumoured that Norman could be voiced by Giancarlo Esposito.

Update – December 30, 2024: Colman Domingo is now confirmed to be voicing Norman Osborn and an official trailer is available to watch.
