At The Games Awards 2023 event; Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Lyon shared that they are in early-development with a new game titled Marvel’s Blade, as well as revealing an announcement trailer and synospis.
Synopsis
‘In Marvel’s Blade, Eric Brooks is the
legendary Daywalker, half-man, half-vampire torn between the warm society of the living and the rushing power of the undead. From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and “DEATHLOOP”, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.’
Players will be exploring a ‘quarantined section of Paris, in the middle of a supernatural emergency’. ‘Vampires have emerged, terrorizing the city of lights and forcing Parisians to shelter inside their homes at night to wait for sunrise.’
This game is also going to feature ‘immersive gameplay and world class narrative’.
The teaser shows Eric Brooks at barbers in Paris; sitting in a chair to get his beard trimmed. A very nervous barber accidently cuts his own finger infront of the half-vampire, and Eric reassures him that he’s ok with controlling his thirst for blood: “Relax man, I don’t bite”. There’s also a countdown imminent on a screen, where the daylight will soon be ending in 22 seconds.
Blade then gets ready to deal with the deadly threats of the night.
When is Marvel’s Blade game releasing?
There’s currently no release date yet, there’s no also official information about which consoles Marvel’s Blade will release on. (This article will be updated when that is revealed).
