This is a release date article covering which movies and series will be coming to Prime Video UK in March, 2024. As well as synopsis and various details about the content which may be available.

There are series such as Dead Hot and Invincible season 2 part 2 arriving this month, as well as new movies such as Road House starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and Ricky Stanicky starring John Cena.

Here are the Prime Video UK release dates:

1st March

Dead Hot (Comedy/Thriller Series)

All six episodes of Dead Hot will be releasing on March 1st.

Official synopsis

‘Set in present-day Liverpool, twentysomethings Elliot and Jess are best friends united by a bond of grief at losing Peter—the first and only love of Elliot and Jess’ twin brother. It’s been five years since Peter went missing in mysterious circumstances, and still reeling from the trauma, the best friends spiral into a hedonistic lifestyle, partying to numb their grief while clinging to a small hope that they will one day find out what happened.’

‘When Elliot meets Will, he starts to think he can put the past behind him. But when Elliot learns Will has his own dark secrets, just as Jess is contacted by somebody claiming to be her brother, it sets into motion a determination for the pair to find out if Elliot’s romantically cursed—or being targeted.’

5th March

Defoe (Documentary series)

Official synopsis

‘In this powerful documentary, Jermain Defoe lifts the lid on both his incredible professional career, but also the scandalous and shocking personal events that shaped him as a player and as a man. At the very peak of his career, he experienced the murder of his half-brother in 2009, the death of his father on the eve of the Euro’s in 2012 and then the sudden death of his 20 year old cousin just a few months later. But rather than stop, Jermain pushed away the grief and found refuge in football instead.’

‘Pouring his heart and soul onto the pitch, he tried to escape from the tragedy that dogged him. But eventually, a chance encounter with a 6 year old boy battling a rare childhood cancer forced Jermain to reconcile himself to his past, confront his true feelings about life and death, and find a renewed sense of purpose in life. In many ways, his relationship with Bradley Lowery is the moment that has come to define him as a player and man, and is perhaps his greatest achievement in the game.’

Ricky Stanicky (Movie)

Official synopsis

‘When three childhood best friends pull a prank gone wrong, they invent the imaginary Ricky Stanicky to get them out of trouble! Twenty years after creating this ‘friend,’ Dean, JT, and Wes (Zac Efron, Andrew Santino, and Jermaine Fowler) still use the nonexistent Ricky as a handy alibi for their immature behavior.’

‘When their spouses and partners get suspicious and demand to finally meet the fabled Mr. Stanicky, the guilty trio decide to hire washed-up actor and raunchy celebrity impersonator “Rock Hard” Rod (John Cena) to bring him to life. But when Rod takes his role of a lifetime too far, they begin to wish they’d never invented Ricky in the first place.’

Invincible Season 2 Part 2

The animated superhero show returns for the second part; where Mark Grayson/Invincible has a world changing decision to make after that very bloody fight with the Viltrumie at the end of the first part. See our review for Invincible season 2 part 1 here.

Official synopsis

American Rust: Broken Justice

Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney star in the second season for the crime drama American Rust: Broken Justice. 

All 10 new episodes of Season Two will be available on 28th March 2024, exclusively on Prime Video.
