There’s been concept art posted online which reveals that Spider-Man was nearly going to be in the recent Sony Pictures/Marvel film Madame Web.
Madame Web was mostly a poorly received movie by both general audiences and critics alike. The film has also only reached $97.7 million worldwide at the box office.
Sebastian Meyer is one of the concept artists working on Sony/Marvel projects who posted these images on his website.

These two concept artworks depict Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, fighting a villian called Ezekiel; while falling down the side of a building and another spiralling through the air above a lit city at night.
It could be where a younger Ezekiel also had visions about Spider-Man also being threat to him in his future too; causing him to want to eliminate Peter.

Much like our exclusive interview with another Marvel artist for the Deadpool in Shang-Chi concept art; it could be that the artists was also having fun with the idea of Spider-Man’s involvement, or this time the studio was actually considering Spider-Man for a Madame Web plot at some point.
There’s no doubt that Tom Holland being included would have boosted box office numbers. Although, if it was still just a small glimpse of the future elements of the film, it probably wouldn’t have changed the ratings too much. It’s not likely to be many scenes as the focus would have still been on the titular character of the movie.
