First look at David Corenswet suited and booted as Superman

Earlier in February 2024, James Gunn posted an image only revealing a close-up of the new Superman suit symbol.

Now, there is a bank holiday surprise from James Gunn at DC Studios; as the first look of David Corenswet wearing the suit is revealed.

David Corenswet can be seen sitting on a chair, suited and booted in the full Superman suit. The red trunks are briefly visible, with a yellow-ish belt, and he has a new-52 style collar. Although, in this moment the suit has been involved in battle already; as there is dirt all over it, leading to discolouring between the torso section and trousers.

There is also an energy beam in the sky above a cityscape; which would be Metropolis.

James Gunn posted a comment on his Threads page “The above photo was taken on set by Jess Miglio and was entirely in-camera.”

Could the building Superman is in be Lex Luthor’s LexCorp? Or maybe a space at the Daily Planet?

Who is David Corenswet?

David Corenswet is an American Juilliard trained actor, who has been in movies such as Pearl and a series called Hollywood. However, Corenswet is not yet well-known or a household name, that is until Superman hits the big screen in 2025. Although, Corenswet will be appearing in Twisters later this year; based on the 1980’s film called Twister.
