Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, and this is the final film in the trilogy for this character played by Tom Hardy.
A synopsis has also been released along with the trailer:
‘In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.‘
In this 3 minute and 7 second trailer, Eddie Brock is still in Mexico after being transported back to his own universe, since his brief time spent in the MCU.
Venom also encounters Mexican gangs, a military that is going after him, being reunited with shopworker Mrs. Chen, and facing more monsterous threats.
Rhys Ifans in the Venomverse
Rhys Ifans was previously Doctor Connors/Lizard in The Amazing Spider-Man 1 movie which starred Andrew Garfield. And Ifans was also included as a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home; where Lizard is transported into the MCU. Connors was later cured of his mutation and sent back. Is he playing a variant character?

There are rumours online that Eddie has to protect a young Peter Parker from being hunted down, although there were rumours this would also happen in the plot of Madame Web too.

Someone could be looking for variants to be a suitable match for these symbiotes stored at this military facility. Afterall, what could be the significance of these people being hunted too?
Chiwetel Ejiofor’s variant?
Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as a military character in this universe, who is looking to fight off an oncoming threat from outer space; and the symbiotes are from Venom’s homeworld Klyntar.
Ejiofor previously played Mordo in the MCU, and this is likely one of his variants.

Does this military have access to multiversal technology?
Ejiofor’s character can be seen scooping up the symbiote which was left at a bar in Spider-Man: No Way Home, or has there been another sample left in both universes? In the first photo, the neatly dressed barman (Christine Fernandes) seems to be on the opposite side serving drinks to Eddie and then in the second photo this version of the character looks rough and is receiving drinks.

The backgrounds of the bars are also painted slightly different in both scenes, where there’s a sunset and palm trees.
Patrick Mulligan is captured
Stephen Graham as Patrick Mulligan/Toxin has been captured by this military organization. Mulligan was infected with Carnage’s symbiote at the end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Riding a symbiote horse
Lastly, Eddie and Venom do one of the craziest things by riding symbiote horse off of a cliff.
