Marvel Studios has revealed the first teaser trailer and poster for Captain America: Brave New World – directed by Julius Onah and scheduled to release in cinemas on February 14, 2025.
In this teaser trailer breakdown; President Ross is attempting to repair a rocky relationship with Captain America (Anthony Mackie), by working on bringing Cap back into the military. However, after Wilson accepts this offer, he is plunged into an international incident.
President Ross makes Sam an offer

There has since been a recast for Thaddeus Ross, due to William Hurt’s death, and the character is now a newly-elected US President played by Harrison Ford.
Isaiah attacks the President
Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) attacks the President at a meeting where he is introducing his global plans. Could this be what leads to Ross getting experimental gamma radiation surgery to save his life?

In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, it was revealed Bradley was the second ever super soldier, and he been givin a similar super soldier serum that Steve had, except it was a recreated one.

It’s not likely that Isaiah would have just attacked the president of his own free will. He has probably been indoctrinated like what happened to Bucky Barnes, and this chair is also seen in a lab, from another part of the teaser. Certain words can be used to activate a super soldier to follow commands. Sam Wilson is also seen fighting people in this same lab, as he might be there to investigate into what happened to Isaiah.
Tiamut finally shows up in the MCU again

There appears to be a battle taking place at Tiamut Island, where Captain America and Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres (as the new Falcon?) are seen flying around fighting and taking out jets.
‘Tiamut the Communicator’ was a celestial which came out of the Earth during Marvel Studios’ Eternals movie, and the Eternals were able to defeat Tiamut, although the giant body of it remained sticking out of the water.
What could the international incident be about?
There are rare resources that might be found on this “Island”; it’s rumoured this is Adamantium. Wakanda was already able to advance their country due to having access to vibranium and that’s why countries could be fighting to get their hands on this one instead.
Captain America fights Red Hulk
The relationship seems to break down between Wilson and Ross at some point during the film as this leads to Captain America going after Ross, who has now transformed into Red Hulk.

Funeral scene
In this teaser, there is a funeral scene which can be seen, and for whom has his been held for?

It was reported on back in March 2023, that Liv Tyler is reprising her role as Betty Ross in this movie, and set photos from that time revealed that Betty and Sam attended a funeral.
Why would Betty attend this? It’s possible this is staged to trick these character into think that Thaddeus Ross was killed or this is near the end of the film where might actually be killed.
Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader

It was also revealed in 2023 that Tim Blake Nelson will be reprising his role in the movie, and it’s expected that there has been a lot of character development in the years since he was last seen in The Incredible Hulk (2008) Nelson’s character is now called The Leader. And It’s more than likely this supervillian has been orchestrating these events throughout the film.
Who is Giancarlo Esposito playing in Captain America: Brave New World?

It’s not officially confirmed which character Giancarlo Esposito is playing in the MCU, it’s rumoured that he may be a SHIELD agent called G.W. Bridge.
Update July 28, 2024: At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, it was revealed that Giancarlo Esposito is playing Seth Voelker; King of the Serpent Society.
