Jurassic World: Rebirth – First Images, Synopsis & Release Date

Universal Pictures has confirmed the title for their upcoming Jurassic World sequel, as well as two images and a synopsis.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is set to be directed by Gareth Edwards; who is known for films such as The Creator (2023), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) and Godzilla (2014).

In the seventh installment of the Jurassic series; Scarlett Johansson is starring as covert skills operative Zora Bennett, Jonathan Bailey is Dr. Henry Loomis, Mahershala Ali is Bennett’s team leader Duncan Kincaid, and Rupert Friend is Martin Krebs; a Big Pharma representative.

For researching Paleontology on the film; the studio brought back Steve Brusatte as a Paleontology Consultant. Brusatte previously worked on the 2022 movie Jurassic World: Dominion.

There are quite a few films releasing during July 2025, and audiences will be deciding where to spend their time and money. Rebirth is releasing during the same month as Tron: Ares, James Gunn’s new Superman movie and Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four: First Steps.

However, the three most recent films: Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom & Dominion have all reached over $1 billion each at the box office, worldwide! Could Universal gain another billion from this movie too?
