Robert Pattinson is cloned multiple times in Mickey 17 trailer

Robert Pattinson as Mickey Barnes, in the Mickey 17 trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the official trailer for Bong Joon-ho’s science-fiction film Mickey 17; starring Robert Pattinson.

This is based on a novel with a similar title called Mickey7 by Edward Ashton.

Mickey 17 was originally going to be in cinemas on March 29, 2024. However, the Hollywood strikes caused the release of this movie to be delayed to March 7, 2025.

In this 2 minute 33 second trailer: Robert Pattinson’s character “Mickey Barnes” is seeking an adventure in space and has also agreed to be an “expendable”, without properly reading what to this contract entails.

Expendables are like crash test dummies involved in science experiments to improve humanity; each time that he dies, they print out another clone of him, for another mission. Alarmingly, there ends up being multiple clones of Pattinson’s Mickey still alive, and more chaos ensue.

Who has been cast in Mickey 17?

The cast of Mickey 17 stars: Robert Pattinson (The Batman), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Invincible) Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: Episode IX), Toni Collette (Hereditary, The Sixth Sense), and Mark Ruffalo (Avengers: Endgame)
