Marvel Studios recently released the teaser trailer for “Thunderbolts*”, and this is a discussion article breaking down details in this teaser.
This film will see a group of supervillians and anti-heroes team up to carry out missions. These characters have been recruited by CIA Director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
There are many stars reprising their Marvel roles such as Yelena (Florence Pugh), Ghost (Hanna John-Kaman), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Bucky (Sebastian Stan), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Wyatt Russell (John Walker) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
Here are 3 things you may have missed in the Thunderbolts* trailer:
Loki’s scepter at an NYC event

Val attends the Honoring NYC Heroes Battle Of New York event; where Loki’s scepter from Avengers Assemble can be seen in a glass case. There are also other objects in cases such as Chitauri weapons.
Plans for The Watchtower

There are blueprints for “The Watchtower”, and more plans to create the look of a character with an “S” emblem.
In the comics; Sentry’s Watchtower was built in Manhattan, New York, however due to losing to a supervillain, nearly everyone had their memory erased about Sentry and his watchtower. Tony Stark later built in the space of this tower without knowing who it had belonged to.
The teaser trailer scenes show equipment covered up in dust sheets as if this is in a basement. This could be the basement at the bottom of Stark/Avengers tower where Sentry is and the team are fighting each other. Is Val the one who has bought the tower?
Glimpses of the outfit for Sentry

In the trailer Lewis Pullman is a character called Robert “Bob” Reynolds; he’s seen in hospital garments, it’s likely that he has been kept in a facility where his powers were supressed/tested on.
Who is Sentry?
Robert Reynolds is the superhero called Sentry; the character gained his powers after consuming a “Golden Sentry Serum” at a lab.
This serum made Reynolds extremely powerful; gaining the power of a million suns, reality warping, molecule manipulation, and as evident in the teaser he is invulnerable to bullets. Sentry’s abilities are more vast than this; he is comparable to Watchmen’s Dr. Manhattan, and basically Marvel’s answer to Superman.
This is how the Earth-616 Sentry looks in the comics; dressed in a golden yellow suit, with a blue cape, a belt with an “S” emblem, and boots.

At the moment it’s likely he doesn’t fully remember who he is in this teaser trailer and other people don’t know him either yet.
Although it appears this will change as he can be seen picking up his suit to wear, and a glimpse of Sentry walking down the steps in those black boots.
The suit reveal in the trailer takes place at Val’s penthouse suite where the team also meet up with Val.
