Paramount Plus has released a trailer and poster for new Christmas comedy movie Dear Santa – directed by Bobby Farrelly and starring Jack Black and Robert Timothy Smith.

This Christmas, a boy called Liam Turner is writing a letter to Santa, however he makes one spelling error on the envelope; the letter ends up summoning Satan (Jack Black).

In the trailer; Satan changes forms multiple times while being mischievous, and he makes Liam aware that his soul will be taken at the end of his “wishes”.

This seems like a similar premise to Bedazzled (1967, 2000), except it’s the devil and a child instead of an adult being granted wishes. There’s a hint in the trailer about the kid possibly using one of his wishes for kindness as well, much like the title just mentioned.

When is ‘Dear Santa’ releasing?

Dear Santa is going to be releasing on Paramount+, as well as being available to buy on digital, on November 25 in the US, and November 26 for the UK and Australia.
