During this years Children In Need, BBC has revealed a brand new preview for the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special titled “Joy to the World”.
Steven Moffat is back to write for this Christmas special starring Ncuti Gatwa as The Doctor, Nicola Coughlan as Joy and Jonathan Aris as a Silurian.
There has already been a teaser trailer released earlier this year, and now as Christmas is nearly here, Doctor Who fans been treated to an extra look.
Joy to the World takes place across multiple time destinations; as the hotel has access to time travel where people come and go at a short notice. The Doctor stumbles upon multiple peculiar guests at Sandringham Hotel, as well as finding Joy; the mysteries about this hotel leads them to go on an adventure.
In the preview, the Doctor and Joy are in danger as they end up in a pre-historic time. Villengard has also returned once again since Moffat’s previous episode BOOM!
During BOOM! This company disgustingly squashed people into some form of meat-cube, on a battlefield, and then digitized their personas. It appears they may have done the same to the Silurian who appeared at the hotel.

“[Villengard] are the biggest arms manufacturer in recorded history.” This company has a nefarious plan to create an infinite energy source, however this could wipe living things where it is activated.
By the end of the clip, a big dinosaur hunts the Doctor and Joy down, as they fall off of the collapsing tree house and directly into its gaping jaws.
