A review for the Netflix comedy/romance Christmas film titled Our Little Secret – directed by Stephen Herek.

Our Little Secret film follows Avery (Lindsay Lohan) and Logan (Ian Harding) who both split up. Roughly 10 years later they are both dating different people but realize the new people they are dating partners are siblings. Will they be able to keep the relationship a secret?

This Christmas film strikes a balance between heartwarming charm and light comedy. And Lindsay and Ian share a good chemistry between them.

While having enjoyed the cast’s previous work it was great to see them both act together. The film sprinkles in just enough humour to keep things lively, while still maintaining the warmth and magic of the holiday season.

One standout aspect of the story is the relationship between Avery and Logan. Despite their breakup, the film avoids the usual trope of exes clashing. Instead, it portrays them as mature and respectful, adding a refreshing layer of positivity to the narrative. A funny moment is when one of the characters is looking at paintings and it’s filmed like a horror movie. 

This holiday film had a very simple story and not much to it; I would have liked the comedy to have been improved as it was only very mildly funny. Despite this being Lindsay’s best Netflix Christmas film, I did think they could have had lots more exciting things happen in the story.

If you’re looking for a good holiday film that’s a little bit different to other Netflix Christmas films, then I still recommend to check this one out!
