Superman (2025) teaser trailer date and first poster

Warner Bros. Pictures UK has revealed when the first teaser trailer is releasing online for DC Studios’ 2025 movie Superman, as well as the first poster.

Creature Commandoes has been the first project to kick off the new DC Universe of content under James Gunn and Peter Safran as Heads of DC Studios.

In addition to Superman, there are many other projects which are planned to be releasing as part of the first chapter Gods and Monsters, such as a Batman movie titled Brave and the Bold, Supergirl, Lanterns and Waller series, as well as recently announced Clayface movie, which releases on September 11, 2026.

In 2025, David Corenswet stars as the titular character alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as the criminal mastermind Lex Luthor.

There is a brief description in the press release about James Gunn’s vision for the film, which has been shot completely for the full IMAX experience:

“James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”

Gunn has also posted a teaser of the new Superman soundtrack; composed by John Murphy. The music seems heavily inspired by John William’s theme from the Richard Donner movies starring Christopher Reeve.
