Supergirl movie: First look at Milly Alcock as filming begins

Milly Alcock as Supergirl

Filming has begun on the upcoming Supergirl movie; currently set to release in 2026.

Craig Gillespie (Cruella, I, Tonya) is directing this DC Universe movie, which is now filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, in Watford, England.

This story has been written by Tom King and Bilquis Evely who were involved in the 2021 – 2022 comics for Supergirl. As well as Ana Nogueira, who was announced on November 14, 2023, as a screenwriter on the project.

James Gunn has revealed a first look at Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

In this image, Milly appears to be sitting in front of a bar, which resembles a setting in a comic panel by Tom King; where Kara sits in a bar in Space, while interacting with other aliens. There is also the red Kryptonian House of El crest on the studio chair, that matches the one that the new Superman suit has, for consistency.
