James Gunn has released a new clip, which gives a sneak peek of the upcoming DCU film Superman.
This roughly 5-minute clip reveals an extended look at the scenes of what was already shown from the teaser trailer.
Superman (David Corenswet) is laying in the snow, while badly wounded. He whistles with the hope that Krypto the superdog will come to his rescue.
Luckily, Krypto arrives, although the dog rumbles him like a regular excited dog to see his owner. After moments of convincing Krypto to get him to safety, they both reach the Fortress of Solitude, where robots know they need to harness the sun’s raise to heal Superman.
There is also more of John Murphy’s soundtrack revealed, in addition to hearing the classic John Williams theme incorporated into it.

Why does Superman feel pain from the Sun healing him?
It’s not yet known which specific supervillain, Superman has gone up against to severely injure him like this; although most of the damage is internally and he will feel a lot of pain from the Sun rapidly healing everything back into place.
Does Superman have any weaknesses?
Superman still has limits to his invulnerability, for example; with a longer exposure to Kryptonite, can weaken him to below average human strength, he has a weakness to magic and mind control and villains with a higher strength to him such as Doomsday. There’s also an exposure to a Red Sun; which takes his powers away until he can get to a yellow Sun to restore them. If Superman has too much radiation, this would also affect him. Lastly disease, electricity and being subjected to high frequencies of sound would also affect his abilities.
Who is starring in the 2025 Superman movie?
David Corenswet stars alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult is portraying the criminal mastermind called Lex Luthor. The full cast and more details about the film are available in this separate article.
