Lucasfilm has released the first trailer and synopsis for the upcoming Star Wars movie The Mandalorian and Grogu; directed by Jon Favreau.

After season 3 finished, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) now returns in the 2026 sci-fi adventure movie with Grogu, starring alongside Sigourney Weaver as Ward, Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt and Jonny Coyne as an Imperial Warlord.

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.

There are glimpses of Rotta the Hutt and Ward, as well as AT-ATs, and Din Djarin and Grogu jumping into action scenes; to fight multiple aliens and other robots, all while Ludwig Göransson’s new music scores are played over the trailer.
