Sony Pictures recently released the trailer for the fourth installment titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This article is a brief trailer breakdown while also spotting things you may have missed.
Since March 24th, the official trailer across multiple platforms combined has already reached over 1 billion views.
The entire world remains to be oblivious to who Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is; he is starting fresh after the events of No Way Home where he lost Aunt May. Four years have already passed since then, and MJ (Zendaya) and Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) have continued on with their lives without him, including MJ now seeing someone else, played by Eman Esfandi (Star Wars Ahsoka series).
Spider-Man’s metamorphosis

During the trailer Spidey is going through a metamorphosis. There’s “three life-cycles” and this change is mentioned as a “rebirth”. Holland’s Spider-Man gets organic webs and perhaps the red eyes also indicates that one of his cycles is a transformation into Man-Spider, which is a mutation into a humanoid Spider with 6 arms and a monstrous face.

The narration is rumoured to be done by Keith David. Whoever the character is, they clearly have knowledge of Spiders and likely changes of other species. The character could be someone who may has also experienced metamorphic changes themselves such as Miles Warren/Jackal or another variant of Dr. Curt Connors/Lizard. The character describes that Peter is going to be “vulnerable” between these cycles, that’s likely when the villains plan to attack Spidey.
A villain breaks into Peter’s apartment
There is a villain in the trailer who can be seen breaking into the same apartment where Peter is staying, all of the scientific equipment as well as the rest of the background is the same.

The character is played by Sadie Sink, however there is still a mystery surrounding who Sink is portraying.
The online speculation is that she is Jean Grey; currently causing problems due to being hunted down, or another character with enhanced abilities to control people’s minds. To break into Peter’s apartment, she must already have found out who Spider-Man is.
Bill (Trammell Tillman) can be seen in another part of the trailer talking to Spider-Man about this character being a threat they can’t see: “We are faced with a danger we can’t control. One we can’t even see!”.
Multiple villains shown in the trailer

While Sadie Sink’s character is still unknown, there are more villains appearing in this trailer such as Tarantula, Boomerang and Scorpion (Michael Mando). As well as Tombstone (Marvin Jones III), however, he has not yet been shown. There are casting details and past filming updates here.
The Hand? Attacks Spider-Man

There are also red-dressed ninjas, likely ‘The Hand’; they have extraordinary fighting techniques and have previously come after Daredevil in his own series.
Heroes and Anti-Heroes
Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) appears as a professor teaching classes, while Peter seeks help from him.

And after years of The Punisher (Jon Berntal) appearing in series, this iteration is finally in MCU movies sharing scenes with Spider-Man.
Is MJ starting to remember who Peter Parker is?
Although, the world forgot who Peter Parker is, it seems somewhere in MJ’s subconscious, she hasn’t fully moved on.

During the house warming party scenes, Peter is looking to get back into their lives again, and behind him is an entire wall investigating into who Spider-Man is, she is still thinking about him a lot.
