Sabrina Carpenter’s Emails I Can’t Send tour was amazing. Sabrina is a singer and actress, and this was her first UK tour. The security is more strict than usual due to her getting lots of hate these past few years. The show started with her support act, Annika Bennett. Annika came onto the stage and played her songs with a guitar. Her voice was pretty calming, and her songs were soft and not too loud. She was very good and enjoyed how she played the guitar. After Annika finished her songs, there was a small break, and then it was time for Sabrina.
Sabrina sprang onto the stage, and the crowd went wild. She wore a sparkly white top and badass white boots. They were my favourite part of her outfit. Sabrina has an amazing voice, and it was great to hear her perform live. I also love how her voice sounds the same as in her songs, without lots of autotune. She sang and danced and was extremely energetic throughout the show. Sabrina owned the stage, danced, and sprung from one side to the other while singing. Some of her dance moves were bending and arching her back down while doing air guitar, badass kicks, hair flips, twirls, jumps, and numerous other moves.
Sabrina was very flexible, and I could tell she had dance experience in the past and must have trained a long time for her tour. There were songs where Sabrina played the guitar and piano; this shows how musically talented she is. The final song of the concert was Because I Liked a Boy, and she sang with so much emotion throughout her final song.
Although I enjoyed the show, I did have some things I wish could have been improved. This could be the venue, but I wish her microphone was louder and the instruments were less loud, as I find it hard to hear her voice. Throughout her tour, Sabrina would change the outro to one of her songs, most of the time having funny lines, although I did think her London outro was the worst. I also found the lighting to not be very good, which made it hard to see her facial expressions due to the washout. I also thought more of a set would have been nice. I was near the front, seated, and I found myself looking through my phone; if I hadn’t, it would have just looked like a sparkly person, but I wouldn’t have been able to make out her face or facial expressions. I also had some disrespectful people behind me. Besides these issues, the concert was great.
If you ever get the chance to see her live, I recommend it; each show will be different. Sabrina is busy working on upcoming films, music, tours perfume and much more. I can’t wait to see her again again in the future!
