The Disney Plus Day event is to celebrate content for past, present and the future releases on the Disney+ app.
Fans have been expecting a full livestream. Disney chose to release the news about their content via Twitter, in a very lengthy thread, as well as a 4 minute Pixar video. There was also a 14 minute Marvel 2021 video.
Full event coverage:
1. The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (Movie)
The first teaser trailer is now available to watch! This will be the 6th Ice Age movie in the franchise. Starring Simon Pegg. Set for a release date on January 28th, 2022.
2. Baymax! (Series)
The hit movie Big Hero 6 has a spin-off Disney+ original series called Baymax! Here is the first trailer. Release is due for Summer 2022.
3. Cheaper By The Dozen (Movie)

This is a re-imagining of the hit comedy movie, with the same name. This is “Centered around a multi-racial blended family of 12” – said Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff, while discussing the movie. Premiering in March 2022.
4. Disenchanted (Movie)

Disenchanted, The surprise sequel to Enchanted is coming! Starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey. Arrives Fall 2022
5. Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Movie)

Based on the ever-growing franchise of Wimpy Kid content. An animated movie is coming December 3. As well as this title. There is also Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules! Date not revealed.
6. The Beatles: Get Back (DocuSeries)
Here is the first official Clip for one of the biggest bands ever, it’s been long awaited documentary revealing footage for The Beatles. Arriving on November 25.
7. Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers (Movie)

This movie that is a cross between live action and CG Animated based on the cartoons with the same name. Arriving Sping 2022.
8. Better Nate Than Never (Movie)

This is a comedy adventure movie starring Aria Brooks, Michelle Federer, introducing Rueby Wood as Nate, Norbert Leo Butz, Lisa Kudrow, and Joshua Bassett. Releases in Spring 2022.
9. Hocus Pocus 2 (Movie)

It’s been 29 years since the first Hocus Pocus! Now the sequel will be coming on Fall 2022 starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy.
10. Pinocchio (Movie)

A remake/retelling of the classic animated story, will be a live action and visual effects movie starring Tom Hanks, Cynthia Erivo, Luke Evans and features the voices of Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan-Michael Key, and Lorraine Bracco. Release is set for Fall 2022.
11. Limitless with Chris Hemsworth (Series)
Limitless with Chris Hemsworth is a six-part National Geographic adventure series arriving in 2022.
12. Welcome To Earth (Series)
Also, from National Geographic, an adventure series starring Will Smith. Arriving December 8, 2021.
13. Sneakerella (Movie)
This a fashion centric and romantic Gender-flipped Cinderella movie. Starring Chosen Jacobs, Lexi Underwood and John Salley. The offical trailer was released. Arriving February 18, 2022.
14. The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder (Series)
The official trailer has been released. This is a new animated series that was based on the popular Disney Channel series during early 2000’s. There are many returning voices, to name a few: includes Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud and Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud… arriving February, 23, 2022.
15. High School Music: The Musical The Series (Series)

Still not the best worded title from Disney, however this is returning for it’s 3rd series in 2022!
16. The Spiderwick Chronicles (Series)

This a new live action series based on the best selling book. A family adventure and modern coming-of age story. Release date unknown.
17. Willow (Series)
Here is the cast meet video, for the new series: Willow starring Warwick Davis. Arriving in 2022.
18. Cars on the Road (Series)

Latest in the Pixar ‘Cars’ animated franchise, Cars on the Road features returning voices Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy. Arriving 2022.
19. Win or Lose (Series)

This is a first-ever long new animated series focusing on characters preparing for their softball championship game. Arriving in 2022.
20. Zootopia + (Series)

A short form animated series linking to the movie with the same name. Arriving in 2022.
21. Documentary for Lightyear
The feature Length documentary for the making of Lightyear and Turning Red will be on Disney Plus. Lightyear is an animated movie, featuring Chris Evans voicing Buzz Lighyear. The teaser trailer is available to watch. Arriving 2022
22. Tiana (Series)
An animated musical series arriving in 2023 directed and written by Stella Meghie.
23. Intertwined (Series)
This series is available now to stream on Disney Plus. Starring Carolina Domenech as Allegra.
24. Hawkeye (Series)
The latest footage for Hawkeye was released. The series stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, and newcomer Alaqua Cox. Arriving November 24, 2021.
25. X-Men ’97 (Series)

An amazing return to the hit Marvel animated series. The X-Men are back in Fall 2023. Also, in an article from Marvel, the information about the cast voicing: Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Adrian Hough, Christopher Britton, Catherine Disher, Chris Potter, Alison Sealy-Smith, Alyson Court will all return.
26. Moon Knight (Series)
The first teaser for the new series MoonKnight has finally arrived, starring Oscar Issacs. Premiering in 2022.
27. She-Hulk (Series)
There is finally a first teaser clip for upcoming comedy series starring Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Tim Roth reprising his role for Abomination. She-Hulk premieres on August 18, 2022, watch the new trailer and read more details here.
28. Ms. Marvel (Series)
First look at the new super-powered series Ms. Marvel. Kamala Kahn played my Iman Villani. Arriving June 8, 2022.
29. Echo (Series)

This is a series featuring Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo. Alaqua will also be introduced first in the Hawkeye series. Echo is releasing Summer 2023.
30. What If…? (Series)

This has been quite the surprise of a first series. Marvel is also working on bringing a 2nd season out. Premiering early 2023.
31. Spider-Man: Freshman Year (Series)


A new Marvel Animated series and there is also a synopsis revealed:
‘The animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots’. Marvel has revealed new images and details for the series streaming in 2024.
32. I am Groot (Series)

Currently no footage, however this a new short series coming, focusing on Baby Groots journey. Update July 31, 2022: An official trailer has now been released:
‘I am Groot’ releases on August 10, 2022.
33. Ironheart (Series)

The next story featuring an Iron Man based series, except this time, this is Riri William’s journey to create the most advanced tech suit. Starring Dominique Thorne. Currently no release date and no footage available yet.
34. Agatha: House of Harkness (Series)

Well, well… well! it was ‘Agatha all along!’ Now Kathryn Hahn from WandaVision will reprise her role in the new series. Currently no release date and no footage available yet.
Update: This title has now been renamed to ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ and will release during Winter 2023/2024.
35. Marvel Zombies (Series)

This is a surprise that I wasn’t expecting. This will be an animated series. Currently no release date and no footage available yet. Update: Marvel Zombies is set to release in 2024
36. Secret Invasion (Series)

There was a quick first reveal of Samuel L Jackson’s appearance reprising his role as Nick Fury. Secret Invasion is about Skrulls that were introduced in Captain Marvel and more that will infiltate Earth. This will be an all-star cast featuring Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Ben Mendelsohn, Christopher McDonald, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Killian Scott and there are more names yet to be announced. Secret Invasion is set to release in 2023.
37. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Series)
Sadly, no trailer for Kenobi was released, however, there is a sizzle reel featuring Ewan McGregor discussing his return as Obi-Wan Kenobi, in the new series as well as concept art. Hayden Christensen will also be reprising his role in the series as Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. 2022 release.
