Actor, Aneurin Barnard, known for his roles in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk movie and 1899, is set to star alongside Ncuti Gatwa in a role for the upcoming series 14 of Doctor Who.
There have been multiple images taken in Capitol Shopping Centre, Cardiff, that shows Aneurin Barnard’s face in shop windows; as some form of political campaign/propaganda.
Barnard’s character is called Roger AP Gwilliam. Roger is running for election, as leader of the Albion Party. There is also the slogan: “Bigger Better Bolder Britain”, that can been seen on the posters.

The Albion name can be linked to previous episodes of Doctor Who, such as Albion Hospital and UNIT mortuary in three episodes: Aliens of London, The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances – that starred Christopher Eccelston.
There was also another poster for the character Roger, where he’s labeled as The Space Saviour. It’s possible that he could falsely be taking credit for saving people where the Doctor actually has previously done. This episode is rumoured to be taking place in 2046.
Ncuti Gatwa’s series will begin some time at the end of 2023, as he stars alongside new companion Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday.
Will Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor be in the 60th anniversary?
Ncuti Gatwa will also make his debut in the 60th special alongside David Tennant and Catherine in November 2023. Check out some of the previous set photos here.
