Netflix has revealed the first episode title for Stranger Things Season 5 and we also take a look at what this could mean.
At the end of Stranger Things Season 4; the episode finished with nearly all of them regrouping, apart from Max being in a coma and Eddie being taken down, in the Upside Down. Will is still sensing Vecna and all hell has broken loose, now that the Upside Down has breached through.
Here is the episode title for Stranger Things 5 called ‘The Crawl’.
What could The Crawl mean?
There are two things that we can think of:
Metallica
As season 4 had Eddie being a big fan of Metallica, if we continue with what is mentioned in their song lyrics in All Nightmare Long; they sing “Crawl from the wreckage one more time“, “Hunt you down all nightmare long, yeah luck runs… and you crawl out again, but your luck runs out“. Is Eddie somehow coming back?
Dungeons & Dragons
Since the premise of the show is connected to what happens in Dungeons & Dragons; Crawling in the game involves battling various monsters, going to the lair of the big bad, avoiding traps and finding rewards.
The Duffer Brother also recently mentioned that they are trying not to introduce new characters, by instead focusing on the main cast for this final season. As they upset fans with bringing in Joseph Quinn’s Eddie and then he was gone.
According to Millie Bobby Brown, Netflix series Stranger Things 5 is filming in late 2023 and will likely release in 2024.
