Cast announced for ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum’

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced the cast for The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, at CinemaCon.

Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum is a prequel movie directed by Andy Serkis, which is going to be set between The Hobbit Trilogy and The Fellowship of the Rings.

The prequel movie is following Aragorn as he goes on a quest to track down Gollum before he reveals the location of the One Ring to Sauron.

Here are the cast reveals for the prequel:

  • Andy Serkis – Gollum & Sméagol
  • Ian McKellen – Gandalf the Grey
  • Lee Pace – Thrandruil
  • Elijah Wood – Frodo Baggins
  • Jamie Dornan – Strider
  • Leo Woodall – Halvard
  • Kate Winslet – Marigol

Jamie Dornan is taking on the role of Aragorn/Strider, previously played by Viggo Mortensen.

Warner Bros. Pictures also shared the cast reveal post on their socials.
