The Batman Part II: Cast, Release Date

Matt Reeves has confirmed more of the cast for the 2027 sequel “The Batman: Part II”, release date and first official look at the production images from set.

In a series of tweets posted by Matt Reeves; the director announces more actors for the film using gifs featuring the same actor from their previous work. There are returning characters, as well as confirmed actors being introduced in The Batman: Part 2.

Who has been cast in The Batman Part 2?

There will be more casting details about the film added to this article when there are new updates.

  • Robert Pattinson – Bruce Wayne/Batman
  • Sebastian Stan – confirmed to be in the movie, although who he is playing is not officially revealed. Stan is widely rumoured to be playing Harvey Dent.
  • Scarlett Johansson – confirmed for a role in the film, rumoured to be playing Gilda Dent
  • Charles Dance – confirmed for a role, rumoured to be playing Christopher Dent.
  • Sebastian Koch as TBA
  • Brian Tyree Henry as TBA
  • Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth
  • Colin Farrell as The Penguin
  • Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon
  • Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Reál
  • Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez

First official look at production set images

The Batman: Part 2 is going to be set during Winter, featuring snowy scenes; as Matt Reeves has teased official production images of the Batmobile driving in snow.

Could this film be including Mr. Freeze?

A cold setting would be the perfect time to bring the character in to turn Gotham into an ice box!

When is The Batman: Part 2 releasing in cinemas?

Originally, The Batman: Part 2 was going to release in 2025, and was delayed to 2026, and then pushed back again to 2027. Now, the current release date for cinemas is October 1, 2027.
