This article is covering day 2; where Warner Bros. Pictures has showcased their titles at this years CinemaCon 2023 event, taking place in Las Vegas.

Titles at the presentation
Barbie
Two Executives, Jeff Goldstein and Andrew Cripps walk on stage wearing pink suits for the Barbie movie by Greta Gerwig – starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling also appear on stage to discuss their movie as they say it’s been “inspired by the Wizard of Oz“.

Ryan Gosling explains what it was like playing Ken “If I’m being really honest, I doubted by Kenergy. I was living my life and then one day I was bleaching my hair, shaving my legs, and rolling down Venice Beach. It came on like a fever.”
The Colour Purple
A trailer was showcased by Oprah Winfrey, for The Colour Purple; musical adaptation of Alice Walker’s novel with the same name. The film is starring Danielle Brooks as Sofia.
Oprah says “This is a sisterhood film. We’re bringing the sisters to the theater with their sisters and their sister’s sisters.”
A UK release date is currently scheduled for January 26, 2024.
The Nun 2
Audiences attending are being shown the first look at horror movie The Nun 2 – starring Taissa Farmiga and Storm Reid. This film releases in cinemas September 8, 2023.
The Conjuring 4
The official title has been revealed for the fourth movie called The Conjuring Last Rites, starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.
Wonka
Timothée Chalamet says that playing Wonka “is a dream come true. This is a Willy that is full of joy and hope.” Calah Lane is also on the stage with Chalamet.
Hugh Grant is officially confirmed to be playing an Oompa Loompa in the movie. Grant’s involvement in Wonka, was first found out by One Take News, back in February 16, 2022.
Wonka is set to release in cinemas on December 15, 2023.
Meg 2
A sequel called Meg 2: The Trench is releasing on August 4.
There is a new trailer that the audience at CinemaCon were previewed to. It’s being described by Fandango Managing director; Erik Davis, as ‘amazing’, the trailer opens to a shark eating a dinosaur.
Beetlejuice 2
Finally officially confirmed today, Beetlejuice 2 is in the works. There’s currently no further details about this title.
Dune 2
There were also title logo teases for Superman: Legacy, The Batman II and Beetlejuice 2 shown, during sizzle reel footage for Dune Part Two and Furiosa.
Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet and Denis Villeneuve present the new the clips for Dune 2; following on from the first film, there’s Paul Atreides riding a Sandworm.
Also revealing preparations for a battle Austin Butler’s character Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, who is bald, and being described as an “Olympic sword-master crossed with a psychotic serial killer”.
Zendaya also says “This love story… there is pain and stress; just two people trying to grow up and live, but under immense pressure.”

Furiosa
Anya Taylor-Joy was seen in a very brief teaser for Furiosa – releasing in cinemas on May 24, 2024. This is a spin-off story from the Mad Max movies.
Mickey 17
Bong Joon-ho’s movie Mickey 17, gets a quick look as it shows two versions of Robert Pattinson’s character meeting. Due to release in cinemas on March 29, 2024.
Blue Beetle
Angel Manuel Soto, Xolo Maridueña and Bruna Marquezine are on stage to talk about their DC film Blue Beetle.
Xolo mentions that Jaime doesn’t want his powers, family is a huge focus and and it’s actually an ensemble movie.
Audiences are also being previewed to an extended trailer of Blue Beetle, more clips seen than the one that was recently posted online. Jaime’s sister is in danger, which leads to him chasing after some bad guys and beating them up.
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom
Jason Momoa returns as Arthur Curry, in the first trailer for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom previewed at CinemaCon, alongside a brief glimpse of Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta wielding a Black Trident. The film releases on December 26, 2023.
The Flash
WB is screening an unfinished version of The Flash movie, to audiences there. Be careful not to see any spoilers showing up on social media, as the social embargo is lifting when the film finishes in a few hours, for people releasing their reactions.

Update: First reactions are in for The Flash movie.
Day 3 (April 26): will be presentations for Walt Disney Studios titles, as well as Universal Pictures and Focus Features.
