Yesterday, at the beginning of the D23 Expo event, Walt Disney Studios revealed the next batch of announcements for Disney and Pixar content; including casting details, trailers and title card images.
The D23 expo event began on September 9th, and will continue on the 10th and conclude on September 11th.
Pixar Announcements
Inside Out 2
Amy Poehler is returning for Disney & Pixar’s animated movie Inside Out 2 – directed by Kelsey Mann. The movie will still focus on the character Riley, returning with all of her emotions as their own personified character. Releases during Summer 2024.
Elemental

Disney and Pixar’s Elemental movie will release only in theaters on June 16, 2023! According to the official synopsis, the film follows an unlikely pair, Ember & Wade, in a city where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. Both characters then discover something elemental: how much they actually have in common.

Here is a first look at these two characters: Ember and Wade played by Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie.
Elio
An original animated science-fiction movie titled Elio; about a boy who finds himself transported across the galaxy and mistaken for an interglactic Ambassador for Earth.
The movie star Ferrera as Olga Solis and Yonas Kibreab as Elio. Directed by Adrian Molina and produced by Mary Alice Drumm, Disney and Pixar’s Elio arrives in Spring 2024.
Win or Lose
Here is a first look at Will Forte as Coach Dan in new series Win or Lose. The original series will be arrive on Disney Plus, in 2023.

Disenchanted

An official trailer and brand new poster has finally been released for Disenchanted. Giselle’s fairytale life is about to change a lot more as the sequel focuses on her adjusting to life as a parent in the real world with her husband Robert.

The Little Mermaid
The first teaser trailer is shared for singer and actresss Halle Bailey as the live-action Ariel, in Disney’s The Little Mermaid movie.
Official synopsis
The beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

The Little Mermaid also stars; Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder, Awkwafina voices Scuttle, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Art Malik as Sir Grimsby, Nomah Dumezweni as Queen Selina, Javier Bardem as King Triton and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
The movie will be in cinemas on May 26, 2023.
Hocus Pocus 2
The Sanderson sisters return in a brand new trailer for the sequel to the spooky and magical movie Hocus Pocus has been released. Streaming on Disney Plus, this September 30.
The movies reprises Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
Snow White
Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler star in the live-action version of Snow White, releasing in 2024. A title card was revealed.

Peter Pan & Wendy
The first official poster for Peter Pan and Wendy has been released, and the movie will be streaming on Disney Plus, in 2023.
Iwájú
A Nigerian animated series titled Iwájú, has a first look of a futuristic Lagos. Streaming on Disney Plus in 2023.
Mufasa: The Lion King
Another Lion King movie is being made, this time focusing on Mufasa, and will be premiering sometime during 2024. Only a title card has been revealed so far.
Strange World
This was announced a while ago, however there is a new look revealed for the science-fiction adventure movie, set to release in cinemas on November 23, 2022.

Wish
Lastly, there is a first look reveal for Walt Disney Studios’ animated feature film Wish. The story focuses on the origins of the iconic wishing star.

Starring Ariana DeBose as Asha, directed by Chris Buck & Fawn Veerasunthorn, produced by Peter Del Vecho & Juan Pablo Reyes, and featuring all-new songs by Julia Michaels, Disney’s Wish releases in November 2023.
