The first trailer for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was shown at San Diego Comic Con 2022.
This third movie directed by Peyton Reed; begins the phase 5 line-up, there is also a full Marvel Studios list of release dates mentioned at comic con.
Trailer details
The trailer has yet to be released online, however, here are the details that was revealed from it:
Lang’s Celebrity Life
Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is now a celebrity, after writing a book about saving the world. He never achieved what he wanted to do in life before he became Ant-Man.. but now his family jokes about the fame going to his head.
Kang the Conqueror
Kang the Conqueror’s (Jonathan Majors) voice is very prominent throughout the trailer as he narrates “You’re interested in that, Scott Lang… You’ve lost a lot of time, but time… it isn’t what you think… it’s not a straight line”.
Scott, Hank (Michael Douglas), Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), Cassie (Kathryn Newton) and Hope (Evangeline Lilly) all get sucked into to the Quantum Realm.
Kang continues to narrate, “When you see time, the way I do, you can see everything! Your reality, everything you’re holding on to, everything you call life… I know how it ends!”.
Ant-Man is then approached and taken prisoner by a dangerous villain, unaware about who he is, Scott says to Kang, “I don’t know who you are, but you’ve made a big mistake!”, “I’m an Avenger!” and Kang replies “You’re an Avenger? Have I killed you before?”.
Exploring the Quantum Realm
Janet Van Dyne is well adjusted to that Realm and will be helping to navigate it. Bill Murrary is finally confirmed, as well as shown in the trailer as an unknown character. Murray’s character is shocked to see Janet as he says “Janet Van Dyne! I thought you were dead!”
M.O.D.O.K
M.O.D.O.K stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, and this character was also shown on screen with his comic accurate lasers, there was a rumour back in December 2021, that Corey Stoll will be voicing M.O.D.O.K after being heavily disfigured by Scott Lang destroying his Yellowjacket suit with him in it, in Ant-Man 1. Darren Cross likely spent a long time being healed and transformed into M.O.D.O.K, while in the Quantum Realm.
There are also more aliens in the Quantum Realm shown, my theory is there could a reveal of The Micronauts in this movie. However, this has not been confirmed yet.
Previously in the second movie when Hank was rescuing Janet, a Micro City could be seen in the distance. In Quantumania, we will finally get a closer look at it; as Janet visits there with Hank and the rest.

Director, Peyton Reed also confirms in this video at Comic Con, that there will be more time spent there for this third movie.
Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania is due to release on February 17, 2023.
